Fluke 378 – Introducing Fluke’s Non-Contact Clamp Meter

There is a risk of electrical shock whenever an electrician or technician measures voltage on a live conductor .The Fluke 378 FC Non-Contact Voltage True-RMS AC/DC Clamp Meters reduce this risk because they are the only clamp meters that can make accurate non-contact voltage measurements without test leads. The FLUKE 378 FC clamp meter allows you to measure voltage and current simultaneously with your clamp jaw while saving results to your smartphone, which is not possible with other clamps The FLUKE 378 FC clamp meter has features that other clamps do not have – let us explain some of them.

Voltage and current measurements with FieldSense™ technology

Field-SenseTM technology is used in the Fluke 378 FC True-rms clamp meters to make testing faster and safer without touching a live conductor. The clamp jaw provides accurate voltage and current measurements. Simply connect the black test lead to any electrical ground, place the clamp jaw around the conductor, and the dual display will show reliable, accurate voltage and current values at the same time.

Complete 3-phase measurements in a few simple steps.

The meter displays a complete set of phase-to-ground and phase-to-phase values. These measurements, along with phase rotation data, are displayed on your smartphone and saved to the cloud via Fluke Connect software, eliminating the need for handwritten notes or complex math. Fluke Connect allows users to remotely log, trend, and monitor measurements in order to pinpoint intermittent faults. This information can be used to create a preventive maintenance program.

The power quality indicator indicates whether there is a problem with the equipment or the power line.

The 378 FC clamp meter has a one-of-a-kind PQ function that detects power quality issues automatically. The 378 FC detects and displays power quality issues related to current, voltage, power factor, or any combination of the three when performing FieldSense measurements. You can now quickly determine whether there is an upstream supply problem or a downstream equipment problem.

The iFlex probe can measure extremely high currents.

The FLUKE 378 comes standard with an iFlex flexible current probe (18 inch / 48 cm) that can measure ac current up to 2500 A. This flexible probe allows access to large conductors in confined areas.

The included tools make it simple to use.

Using the 378 FC clamp meter will make your job easier. When a stable FieldSense measurement is detected, the display turns green. Visual Continuity also includes a bright green screen for detecting continuity in noisy work environments. It also includes Fluke Connect software, which allows you to remotely log, trend, and monitor measurements to pinpoint intermittent faults. Fluke Connect also allows you to collect data to use as the foundation for a preventive maintenance program. A premium carrying case, TL224 test leads, TP175 Twist Guard Test Probes, and an AC285 black grounding clip are also included, as well as a TPAK magnetic hanging kit with a 9 inch (23 cm) hanging strap that allows the clamp to be hung wherever it is needed.
